The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent to release salary for the period from the date of dismissal to date of reinstatement. 2.

From the perusal of order dated 18.09.2001 passed by Principal Secretary Home, Government of Punjab, it comes out that petitioner furnished affidavit dated 31.01.2000 to the effect that he would not claim back wages if he is reinstated. He was dismissed on account of his involvement in a criminal case. Thereafter, he was acquitted. The respondent reinstated him and did not grant back wages. As soon as he was reinstated, he started claiming back wages. 3.

In view of affidavit of the petitioner, there seems no reason to interfere.
