Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.86 dated 02.05.2018 under Section 420 IPC, registered at Police Station City, Rupnagar. Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel appeared and contested the petition.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. As per the FIR, present petitioner was agent of Crown Credit Company and he collected money from large number of people and also taken money by floating another kitty committee scheme. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and in view of the serious allegations against the petitioner, I find that he is required for custodial interrogation and no ground is made out for grant of anticipatory bail to him.
Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
The order dated 31.05.2018 granting interim bail to the petitioner stands vacated.
