******* KARAMJIT SINGH, J.(Oral) Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is being unnecessarily harassed by respondent No.3-his ex-wife from whom he got divorce on 09.08.2023 from Court at Ludhiana. It is further submitted that even after getting divorce respondent No.3 is giving threats to life and liberty of the petitioner and in this regard, petitioner have representation dated 08.03.2024 (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2 but the police authorities failed to take any action against respondent No.3 and her father who is respondent No.4, in accordance with law. Being aggrieved the petitioner has filed the present criminal writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. 2.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a time bound direction is given to the respondent No.2 i.e. Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to consider and decide representation dated 08.03.2024 (Annexure P-4).

Mr. Jasjeet Singh Dhaliwal, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State and submitted that in case any complaint/representation(s) has been filed, the concerned authorities will consider and decide the same as per law.

In view of above and without going into the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to consider and decide representation dated 08.03.2024 (Annexure P-4). in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

However, in case the petitioner has committed any offence, law will take its own course.
