Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter-alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the action of the respondents; whereby they are considering the candidature for selection and appointment against 6635 posts of ETT Teachers in pursuance of advertisement dated 30.07.2021 (P-10).

Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioners submitted that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his clients would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 8.01.2022 (P-11) is decided expeditiously.

CWP No.7429 of 2022 In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the controversy, this writ petition is disposed off with direction to respondent No.1-The Principal Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of School Education, to consider and decide the aforesaid legal notice dated 8.01.2022 (P-11) in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order within a period of 04 (four) weeks from the receipt of certified copy of this order.

Needless to say that in case there is a failure on the part of competent authority, petitioners would be at liberty to move an appropriate application for revival of this writ petition and the same shall be considered as per law.
