SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners have filed this petition seeking protection of their life and liberty alleging that petitioner No.2-Fateh Singh, who is major, has married petitioner No.1Baljeet Kaur, who is below 18 years of age, against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 9, who are father, brothers and other relatives of petitioner No. 1. Apprehending danger to their lives and liberty, they moved representation dated 15.06.2017 (Annexure P-4) to Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur. He confines the relief claimed in this petition for direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representation of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

In view of the submission of learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into the representation dated 15.06.2017 (Annexure P-4) and take appropriate action in accordance with Sachin Mehta 2017.06.21 15:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH
