(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 6, who are averse to their relationship. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, inter alia, contends that the petitioners have been in a relationship with each other, however, parents of petitioner No.2 are not ready to accept her relationship with petitioner No.1; she is thus, being continuously threatened with dire consequences by the private respondents. He submits that a representation dated 12.03.2024 (Annexure P-3) was also made to the official respondents but in vain.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Trishanjali Sharma, Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

CRWP-2556-2024 -2Court that petitioner No.2 is a minor and an FIR under Sections 363 and 366A of the IPC stands registered against petitioner No.1 by the father of petitioner No.2. She has thus, opposed the prayer made by the counsel opposite.

In the circumstances, since petitioner No.1 is an accused, this Court is not inclined to issue directions, as prayed for. 7.

The petition stands dismissed.
