The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.369 dated 20.5.2017 at Police Station Civil Lines, Karnal under Sections 406, 498-A and 120-B of Indian Penal Code.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the matter has been amicably resolved amongst the parties and pursuant to the compromise, a petition for quashing of the FIR has already been filed in this Court and that a petition for dissolution of marriage by mutual consent has also been filed. 3.

The aforestated position is admitted to be correct by the learned counsel for the complainant.

Since the matter apparently arose out of matrimonial discord, which has now been amicably resolved, custodial interrogation is certainly not warranted.
