Petitioner has prayed for pre-arrest bail in a case registered against him under sections 408 & 420 IPC vide FIR No. 61 dated 26.05.2017 at police station Bhogpur, district Jalandhar Rural. Case was registered on the complaint of Inspector Narinder Nath. It was alleged that petitioner namely Boota Ram had received cash from members of the Society and had not entered the same in the record. He, thus, misappropriated the amount. He also forged a cheque of one of the members and withdrew `1,57,000/- from his account. Petitioner was, thus, suspended by the Managing Committee on 17.05.2017. At the time of issuance of notice of motion, ad-interim bail was granted to the petitioner. Stand of the State is that number of other complaints have been received against the petitioner. It has now been found that he swindled an amount of `89,50,000/- by duping other members of the Society as well.
