For the purposes of enabling the authorities to do so, the petitioner has to file a copy of the petition along with today's order before the respondent@authorities who may thereafter proceed to consider and decide the representation (Annexure P@8) of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law. The authorities may, if so advised, grant personal hearing to the petitioner.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
