(ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for issuance of direction to respondents No. 1 to 4 to release/recover Ashu Verma w/o Tarun Goyal d/o Amrit Lal (maternal grand-daughter of the petitioner) resident of House No. 1095, Sanjay Gandhi Colony, Police Station Division No. 7, Ludhaina, from the custody of respondents No. 5 and 8, who have allegedly kidnapped and detained her illegally and forcibly, for which they were booked vide FIR No. 65 dated 04.04.2015 (Annexure P-6) under Sections 365 and 506 read with Section 34 IPC, Police Station Division No. 7, Ludhiana. Pursuant to the order dated 20.02.2018, affidavit of Sh. Pawanjit, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police (East), Ludhiana, filed in the Registry is taken on record. Repeated replies filed on behalf of police authorities/State shows that every best possible effort has been made to trace out Ashu Verma, grand-daughter of the petitioner. Even her husband Tarun Goyalrespondent No. 5 and respondent No. 8-Dimpi @ Bhupinder were arrested. After their thorough interrogation, they were enlarged on regular bail vide order dated 28.05.2015 (Annexure P-11). Respondents No. 6 and 7 were also interrogated and granted anticipatory bail vide order dated 28.05.2015 (Annexure P-12). Despite best possible efforts, no clue of Ashu Verma, could be found or traced in a span of more than three years. Considering this aspect of the matter, no further directions are required to be given to the police authorities. The petitioner is directed to disclose the clear cut clue of her grand-daughter, namely; Ashu Verma, to the police and accompanying it to apprehend her from the places so to be pointed out by her, allegedly from the clutches of respondents No. 5 to 8 or any other person.
