Fifth petition under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (corresponding to Section 439 Cr.P.C.) for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 51 dated 04.02.2022, registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC (now Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of BNS, 2023) and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959 at Police Station Rohtak Sadar, District Rohtak, Haryana.

It is submitted that the fourth bail application of the petitioner was dismissed by this Court while observing that the case was at an advanced stage of trial and the trial Court was directed to make every endeavour to conclude the prosecution evidence expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months.

Today, it has been brought to the notice of this Court by learned State counsel that all the prosecution witnesses have already been examined and the case is now at the stage of defence evidence and arguments. ANU 2026.03.17 16:21 I am the author of this document Chandigarh

Keeping in view the serious allegations regarding commission of murder levelled against the petitioner and the fact that the trial is at its fag end, no ground is made out for grant of regular bail. 5.

Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed. 6.

However, nothing observed herein shall be construed as an expression of opinion on the merits of the case. 7.
