Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the prosecution version, the petitioner along with co-accused had invested a sum of Rs.19 lacs of the complainant in a multi trading company. However, the petitioner has not embezzled any amount. He further submits that the complainant is a resident of Jalandhar but the present FIR had been registered at Amritsar and the complainant has successfully got this FIR registered with his political influence while the old transactions are stated to have taken place at Bathinda.
