IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRWP-2751-2023 Decided on : 15.05.2023 Bikartej Singh and others . . . Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Punjab and others . . . Respondent(s) CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY VASHISTH PRESENT: Mr. Harvinder Singh Mann, Advocate for the petitioner(s).

Mr. JS Arora, DAG, Punjab.

Mr. Vishavdeep Singh Rana, Advocate for respondents No.5 to 7.

**** SANJAY VASHISTH , J. (Oral) 1.

Parties are not ready to settle their dispute, as indicated by this Court in order dated 21.03.2023, which says as under: "Though, the dispute of petitioners with private respondents seems to be entirely of civil nature, yet on the request of counsel for the petitioners, notice is issued to respondents No.5 to 7 only to make an attempt for amicable settlement before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court.

Adjourned to 11.04.2023.

Notice to respondents No.5 to 7 be served through dasti process as well as through registered post."

2.

According to the submissions addressed by petitioners before this Court, it appears that dispute is of civil nature relating to the transactions of money and petitioners have failed to point out any specific incident with some sort of evidence in regard to the apprehension of their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondents No.5 to 7. Thus, this Court feels that present petition is nothing but a method to apply pressure. 3.

Dismissed.
