At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing of the present petition, the private respondents have stopped threatening him and as such, he wants to withdraw the present petition at this stage, however, with liberty to file a fresh petition if need be.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of, having been withdrawn. However, in case the threat perception still survives for the petitioner, he may approach the concerned SHO/SSP for grant of protection, who shall monitor the threat perception on day to day basis and act in accordance with law. It shall also be open for the petitioner to approach this Court in case his grievance still survives. It is made clear that this order shall remain in force for two months.
