R.P. Nagrath, J. (Oral) Prayer in the instant petition is made under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of direction to respondents no. 2 and 3 to protect life and liberty of the petitioner. Prayer is also made for issuance of direction to respondents no. 4 to 7 not to call the petitioners to the police station without serving proper notice. Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Ankur Jain, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 4. Let requisite number of copies of paper-book be supplied to learned State counsel during the course of day. In view of the order proposed to be passed, there is no necessity of seeking response from the State. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioners are being constantly harassed for implicating them falsely in the NDPS cases. It is further contended that no FIR was ever registered against the petitioners. It is also submitted that son of the petitioners was once involved in a theft case. The instant petition is disposed of with a direction to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to look into the representation (Annexure P-1) and take appropriate steps, if required, in accordance with law. Anyhow, if petitioners are wanted in some criminal case(s), this order would not be a hindrance in the enquiry or investigation of those matters.
