(THROUGH VIDEO CONFERENCING) **** JASJIT SINGH BEDI , J.(ORAL ) The present petition has been preferred by the maternal grandmother seeking custody of her granddaughter-respondent No.5, namely Doris aged 10 years, who has illegally detained by respondent No.4.

The counsel for the petitioner contends that during the pendency of this petition the child was residing at Gur Aasra Trust, Mohali and now the custody be handed over to the petitioner as the father, respondent No.6, is in jail and is a criminal. 3.

The learned counsel for respondent No.6 states that Naresh Kumar (respondent No.6), the father of the alleged detenue-Doris, has filed a complaint against the son of Jasmero (petitioner), i.e, the maternal KUSUM 2026.02.27 20:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document PHHC Chandigarh

uncle of Doris for molestation, and therefore, the child ought not to be handed over to the petitioner.

The child is currently residing at Gur Asra Trust, Mohali where she shall continue to reside.

However, the parties are at liberty to approach the appropriate Civil Court by way of a petition seeking custody of the childDoris. If such petition is filed by either side, the same be decided within a period of 3 months from the filing of such petition. 7.

Disposed of.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, stand disposed of.
