 This appeal under section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 filed by the insurance company is directed against the award dated 15.03.1999 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal awarding a sum of Rs. 51,000/3 as compensation along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum on account of the injuries sustained in a road accident. 2.

Though the appeal has remained pending for almost 20 years, the office reports indicate that the appellant has failed to take steps to serve respondent No.33owner of the vehicle. Once the appellant has failed to take steps to serve respondents, the appeal is liable to be dismissed for non3 prosecution.

Accordingly the appeal stands dismissed.
