Through this writ petition, the petitioners, who have been recruited as Multipurpose Health Workers (female) in the year 2018, pray for parity in the pay with their counterparts in the Health Department. Learned counsel representing the petitioners contends that a large number of Multipurpose Health Workers (female) were recruited pursuant to the recruitment notice No. 1 of 2015. After selection, certain Multipurpose Health Workers were deputed in the Labour Department whereas remaining were permitted to join in the Health Department.. He further submits that the Director, Employees State Insurance, Health Care, Haryana, vide a communication dated 17.02.2020, has already recommended to the Civil Surgeon for grant of benefits of revised grade pay to the petitioners.

Civil Writ Petition No. 8482 of 2021 Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that let the Government take a decision on the recommendations already made.

Learned counsel representing the petitioners has no objection to the aforesaid proposal of learned counsel representing the State. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the respondents are directed to take a decision on the claim of the petitioners within a period of three months from today after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. If the claim of the petitioners is to be rejected, it is expected that the respondent No.1 would pass a speaking order giving specific reasons. With the observations made above, the writ petition is disposed of.
