**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.12 dated 20.01.2015, under Sections 363, 366A and 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Meharban, Tehsil and District Ludhiana.

On 19.01.2015, respondent No.5 was kidnapped and abducted by the petitioner from the custody of respondent No.4 on the pretext of marriage. They had love affair. Thereafter, they have approached this Court for seeking protection of life and liberty at the hands of respondent No.4 and other relatives and the said petition was disposed of with the direction Naresh Kumar 2017.05.06 10:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to take necessary action against

CRM-M-23311-2015 -2respondent No.4 and his relatives. As per copy of Aadhar Card (Annexure P-3), respondent No.5 was about 18 years of age at the time of registration of FIR.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has solemnized marriage with respondent No.5 and as per Aadhar Card (Annexure P-3), as of today she has already attained majority. Now she is residing happily with the petitioner in her matrimonial and FIR be quashed. On 06.03.2017, learned State counsel has informed that on 03.03.2017 statement has been made by Rahim Baksh-complainant and his daughter that the matter has been compromised. Today, learned State counsel, on instructions from investigating officer, has informed that daughter of respondent No.4, who is major, is residing with the petitioner in her matrimonial house. Keeping in view the fact that respondent No.

5 has attained the age of majority as per her Aadhar Card (Annexure P-3) and is residing happily with the petitioner, no useful purpose would be served in prolonging the litigation further and FIR No.12 dated 20.01.2015, under Sections 363, 366A and 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Meharban, Tehsil and District Ludhiana and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom against the petitioner are hereby quashed. The present petition stands disposed of.
