In the present petition, the petitioners are praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for setting aside order dated 24.12.2025 (Annexure P-2) qua respondents No.7 to 10 vide which the juniors to the petitioners have been promoted to the post of Physical Education Master. It has been further prayed for setting aside Public Notice (Annexure P-5) vide which the employees junior to the petitioners were called for Special PSTET Exam on 08.03.2026 without deciding the objections submitted by the petitioners.

The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners have filed the objections dated 12.02.2026 (Annexure P-4), through proper channel, against the abovesaid order of promotion dated 24.12.2025 (Annexure P-2) whereby

juniors to the petitioners were promoted. However, without considering the objections dated 12.02.2026 (Annexure P-4) filed by the petitioners, the abovesaid junior employees are called for Special PSTET Exam to be held on 08.03.2026.

Learned counsel for petitioners submits that although objections dated 12.02.2026 (Annexure P-4) have been submitted via email, however, full facts and details could not be given in the said objections dated 12.02.2026 (Annexure P-4).

Learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions from the petitioners, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.3 to treat the present writ petition as representation and decide the same, in a time bound manner.

Mr. Nirmal Preet Singh Hira, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 and does not oppose the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned State counsel submits that the public notice (Annexure P-4) regarding conduct of the Special Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (SPSTET) scheduled to be held on 08.03.2026 has been withdrawn with immediate effect. 7.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to treat the present writ petition as representation and consider and decide the same, within a period of one week from today, in accordance with law.
