ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in FIR No.222 dated 02.11.2015 registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Laddowal, District Ludhiana. After arguing the matter for some time, counsel for the petitioner restricts his argument only to the extent that a direction be issued to the trial Court for concluding the trial expeditiously. Counsel for the State, on instructions from HC Kanwaljit Singh, submits that still only 05 prosecution witnesses have been examined and 07 more witnesses are yet to be examined. Heard.
Considering the fact that the petitioner is in judicial lock up for the last about 11⁄2 years, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to conclude the trial within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
