Petitioner-Sajid Waseem, a practicing Advocate, has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for release of Nitika alias Naasha Khan. Pursuant to the notice, Sajid Waseem (petitioner herein) and Nitika have interacted on WhatsApp today. The identity of Nitika is not in dispute. She has categorically made a statement before the Court that she does not wish to reside with petitioner-Sajid Waseem. Petitioner-Sajid Waseem, at this stage, prays for permission to withdraw the present writ petition.
