Through the instant petition, challenge is drawn to the order dated 29.7.2021, whereby the prayer to consider the case of the present petitioner for premature release has been deferred for three years. This case is pending since 6.4.2022, before this Court and during the interregnum period, three years have lapsed.

The learned State counsel, on instructions from the official concerned, submits that the State is now ready to consider the case of the petitioner, within three months from today, by the competent authority. 3.

However, the mandamus is passed upon the competent authority to reconsider the case of the petitioner under the apt policy for his premature release and the entire exercise shall be completed within three months from today.
