Petitioner was working as Science teacher in Punjab School Education Department. On 07.07.2011, District Science Supervisor, Gurdaspur made a surprise visit to Government Senior Secondary School, Gihahla. He found the petitioner absent. As a result, a show-cause-notice dated 24.09.2011 was issued to the petitioner. Thereafter, petitioner filed the reply. He was also given the opportunity of personal hearing. After completion of the entire disciplinary proceedings as per law, the disciplinary authority imposed the punishment of stoppage of one annual increment with cumulative effect. This order was passed on 27.08.2012. Petitioner did not avail any remedy against this order. Present petition, thus, suffers from serious laches. Besides, the authority has already taken a lenient view in the matter. Petition is, thus, without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
