The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a writ of certiorari setting aside the advertisement 02/2001 qua the post of Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering) on the ground that qualifications prescribed in the advertisement have not been approved by the Board of Governors of the respondent-College.

Learned counsel for the petitioner pleads no instructions in the matter.

Learned counsel appearing for the University contends that the petitioner was appointed as Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering). Later, he was granted the highest scale prescribed for teachers in the College SEEMA 2025.07.18 17:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document




 

(now a University), i.e., Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) scale, which is admissible only to twenty per cent of professors in the University. Accordingly, he appears to be not interested in pursuing the case.

In view thereof, the petition stands dismissed for want of prosecution.
