At the asking of the Court, Mr. Amandeep Singh Samra, AAG,



   Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and vehemently opposes the grant of parole to the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner may abscond.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has never availed parole earlier, as fairly conceded by the learned counsel for the State; and that the petitioner has sought the parole for taking care of his family and construction of his house, petitioner is entitled for parole under Section 3(1)(d) of the Act. Accordingly,      

,    

            $6 ,;  #       subject to his furnishing necessary surety bonds to the satisfaction of the District Magistrate or the competent authority. The petitioner shall also furnish a contact number to the Jail Superintendent on which he can be contacted, if required. The petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities concerned on expiry of 08 weeks from the date of his release.
