***** KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Prayer is for grant of regular bail in case having FIR No.113 dated 6.9.2021 registered under Sections 384, 389, 506, 120 IPC at Police Station Sadar Jalalabad District Fazilka.

As per the allegations in the FIR, petitioner Sunita Rani and coaccused Simran started blackmailing and demanding money from complainant Jaspal Singh and threatened him that if he failed to give money, they would falsely implicate him in some criminal case. As per the custody certificate furnished by the State counsel, the petitioner is in custody in the present case for the last more than 8 months. After completion of investigation the challan has been presented and the petitioner and her co-accused are facing trial before the Court of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class. Co-accused Simran Kaur has been granted regular bail GAURAV SOROT 2022.07.22 14:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

It will take time for the trial to conclude, so, no fruitful purpose is going to be served even if the petitioner is kept in judicial custody for indefinite period. Thus without commenting on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail subject to his furnishing bail and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/CJM/Duty Magistrate concerned.
