ARUN PALLI, J (Oral) The petitioner has prayed for the following substantive relief: "Civil Writ Petition Under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct the tender process regarfding 5 years contract of operation and Maintenance of Jalandhar Bus Terminal, initiated vide notice dated 08.11.2023 (Ann:P/1) by respondent no.2, in a fair manner and to conclude the same expeditiously as the same is being dragged by respondent-department in a malafide manner in connivance with ineligible tenderers thereby causing disadvantage to petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that prior to the institution of this petition, the petitioner had even served the respondent authorities with a representation/legal notice dated 15.01.2024 (P-13) and even though a considerable time has elapsed but the matter has not made any tangible progress. And, as a result, the rights/interests of the petitioner are severely impacted.

C.W.P. No. 6565 of 2024 -22024:PHHC:039303-DB Served with advance copy of the petition, Mr. Jastej Singh, DAG, Punjab, is present in Court and accepts notice. At the outset, he submits for the competent authority is already in seisin of the matter, it would be expedient if the petition is disposed of, to enable the competent authority to deal with the concerns/grievances of the petitioner and pass necessary orders, in accordance with law, within a week from today. He submits that before any such order is passed, the petitioner would also be heard. And, a formal communication in this regard would be issued to it within three days from today.
Learned counsel for petitioner is agreeable to the course suggested by the learned State counsel and submits that let this petition be disposed of in view of the statement made by him. In the wake of the position sketched out above, this petition is disposed of in terms of the statement made by learned counsel for the parties.
This Court is sanguine that the authorities shall consider/examine the matter in issue, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within the time indicated by learned counsel for the respondents, assigning reasons in support thereof. Needless to assert that this order shall not constitute an expression of opinion on the merits of the case of either party, for, as indicated earlier, the competent authority shall examine the grievances of the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law.
