Mr. Ramesh Sharma, Advocate, for the petitioner Mr. Gurinderjit Singh, DAG, Punjab for the respondent Mr. Amit Dhawan, Advocate, for the complainant Fateh Deep Singh, J. (Oral) Learned State Counsel, on instructions from HC Jagdev Singh, submits that the petitioner has since joined the investigation and is no longer required for further investigation and nothing is to be recovered from her and that she has no objection if the interim order is made absolute though on behalf of the complainant has sought to oppose the grant of bail on the grounds that the petitioner is trying to intimidate the witnesses. However, the same could not be substantiated by any means. The complainant is well within his right to move the trial court seeking protection for the prosecution witnesses.

In the light of the statement made by learned State counsel, the interim bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 11.1.2017 is made absolute till submission of report under Section 173 Cr.P.C.
