This is a petition that has been filed by the petitioners for issuance of direction to transfer the investigation in FIR No.27 dated 23.03.2021 registered under Sections 307, 452, 323, 506, 148, 149 IPC at Police Station Sadar Patti, Tarn Taran, with a further prayer to grant protection of life and liberty to the petitioners at the hands of respondent No.6 and direct respondent No.2 to submit the status report on representation sent by the petitioners.

Counsel for the petitioner herein would contend that the petitioners herein have been falsely implicated in the aforesaid FIR, which has been registered at the instance of respondent No.6 in connivance with police officials. They apprehend threat to their life and liberty at the hands of respondent No.6. A representation dated 01.04.2021 (Annexure P-4) has been given to respondents No.2 and 3 by the petitioners in this regard but no action has been taken so far on the same.

Let sufficient number of copies of the complete paper book be supplied to the counsel appearing for the respondent-State during the course of day.

In view of the above, I dispose of the instant petition by directing the official respondents to take a decision on the representation dated 01.04.2021 (Annexure P-4) of the petitioners within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
