Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter-alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of promotion from the rank of Assistant Superintendent (Jail) to Deputy Superintendent (Jail) Grade-2 on conditional basis, as he has not cleared one departmental exam.

At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions, from the petitioner, submits that he wishes to withdraw the present petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
