The petitioner is seeking release of his wife Gagandeep Kaur, with whom he is stated to have solemnized marriage on 17.05.2019. It is averred in the petition that his wife has been detained, against her wish, by private respondents No. 4 to 11, who are none else but her parents and other relatives. 2.

In response to notice of motion, learned State counsel has filed reply, wherein it is mentioned that the statement of alleged detenue was got recorded before the Magistrate under Section 164 Cr.P.C., wherein she has stated that she is residing with her parents of her own wish and denied that she has ever been detained.

In view of the stand taken in reply filed by State, no further interference is warranted. The petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
