MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to conduct fair and impartial investigation in complaint dated 13.02.2023 and 04.02.2023 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) made to Additional Director General of Police, N.R.I. Wing (Punjab), S.A.S. Nagar and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala, respectively.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an NRI and had given two complaints dated 13.02.2023 and 04.02.2023 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) to the Additional Director General of Police, N.R.I. Wing (Punjab), S.A.S. Nagar and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala, respectively, however, no action has been taken against the accused persons, who have cheated the mother of the petitioner by executing forged sale deeds. 3.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from S.I. Shingha Mattu, has apprised the Court that pursuant to the receipt of the complaints, a thorough inquiry was carried out, however, no substance was found in the allegations levelled by the petitioner. 6.

In view of the instructions received by the learned State counsel, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner does not press the instant petition and seeks to withdraw the same with liberty to avail of alternate remedies under the law.
