SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 5 and 6.

Petitioners have limited their prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on representation dated 19.01.2017 (Annexure P-5) made by them. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Baljit Kaur is 29.04.1996 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2Jatinder Singh is 07.11.1986 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 18.01.2017 as per copy of marriage certificate (Annexure P-4). Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3. In view of the prayer made by petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala to look into the representation dated 19.01.2017 (Annexure P-5) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office.
