It is contended that the petitioner who happens to be prospective independent candidate from Sanour (Patiala) constituency which is presently represented by private respondent no. 6 is being threatened by private respondents no. 5 and 6. In the light of the same, the present petition is disposed off with the direction to official respondents to ensure due protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and in case any instance is brought to their notice, they will take prompt action without loss of time, in accordance with law.
