Mr. Nitin Narula, Advocate for the petitioner. (through V.C) AARADHNA SAWHNEY , J (ORAL) 1.

Petitioner, who unfortunately lost her husband in the year 2014 as also her son in October 2025, has filed the present petition praying therein to direct the official respondents to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents.

While mentioning the backdrop of the case, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that at about 10.30 AM on 07.01.2026, private respondents abused the petitioner and her daughter-in-law and forcibly entered the house of the petitioner. She raised hue and cry. When the people including the neighbours gathered, the assailants sped away.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of the Court to copy of MLR (Annexure P.1). In so far the present petition is concerned, learned counsel for the petitioner has limited their prayer to direct the official respondents to decide representation dated 06.02.2026 annexed as Annexure P-2 moved by the petitioner.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Gautam Thapar, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3 and has no objection in deciding the representation filed on behalf of the petitioner. 7.
