The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 2 to immediately release passport No. T0451521 which was impounded by Immigration Authorities at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. 2.

Mr. M.S.Dhami, Advocate, submits that petitioner was issued passport in 2017 which he lost. He was issued fresh passport in March' 2019. The respondents have impounded passport dated 12.03.2019 on the ground that old passport has been traced. The respondents have neither handed over old nor new passport despite requests of the petitioner.
