The petition in hand has been preferred under 226/227 of the Constitution of India with the following substantive prayer(s):- 'It is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that keeping in view the totality of facts and circumstances of the case, this Hon'ble Court may kindly pleased to:-
1) issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner which is in danger at the hands of respondents no.5 to 10 and their associates.
11) issue a direction to the respondents no. 2 to 4 not to take any legal action against the petitioners at the instance of respondent no. 5 to 10. Any other writ or order/direction may also be issued in the facts and circumstances of the present case IV) to dispense with from filing the certified, typed and more legible copies of annexures p-1 to p-5 as the same are not readily available with the petitioner, V) prior notices to the respondents may kindly be dispensed with, VI) costs of the writ petition be awarded in favour of the petitioner and against the respondents.
VII) it is also prayed that respondent no. 2 το 4 may also be directed to decide the representation (annexure p-4) of the petitioner in accordance with the law and grant security.'

CRWP No.2477 of 2026 -2has limited his prayer by stating that he would be satisfied, for the nonce, if a direction is issued to respondent No2-Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali) to consider and take a conscious decision on the representation dated 3.3.2026 made by the petitioner (copy whereof has been annexed as Annexure P-4 with the petition in hand) in a time-bound manner.

Learned State counsel has urged that he has no objection in case limited prayer made by the petitioner, for decision of his representation dated 3.3.2026 (Annexure P-4), is directed for. 4.
Keeping in view the nature of the litigation involved in the present petition, the requirement to serve respondents No.4 to 10 stands dispensed with.

Having heard learned counsel for the rival party(s) and upon perusal of the paper-book, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the petition in hand with the following directions: (i) Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali) is mandated to look into the representation dated 3.3.2026 (Annexure P-4) moved by the petitioner, objectively consider the grievance(s) raised therein & take ratiocinated decision thereupon within a period of 15 days from today. Said decision be conveyed to the petitioner within 7 days thereafter.
(ii) No order as to costs.
