In the light of the contentions raised before this Court by the State in averments made in the status report, during the course of investigations, the police could not come across any substantial and cogent evidence against the accused and as a consequence, cancellation report was prepared on 7.7.2018 and submitted before the Illaqa Magistrate and which has been accepted vide orders dated 20.11.2018, copy of which has been placed as Annexure R/4.

In the light of the same, the present petition has become infructuous and is dismissed as such.
