NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 438, Cr.P.C., is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, Karamveer Singh Chawla @ Karamvir Singh, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 323, 382 and 427 read with Section 34, IPC, and Section 3 of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 in a case arising out of FIR No.145, dated 02.11.2014, registered at Police Station, Division No.6, Industrial Area, District Ludhiana.

At the asking of the Court, Mr.K.S.Pannu, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice. A complete copy of the paper-book has been supplied to him today in the Court-room itself by learned counsel for the petitioner.

Since yet another petition, i.e. CRM-M-22866-2015, arising out of same FIR is fixed for today for consideration, therefore, the present petition is also being decided with the consent of the parties today itself.

Learned counsel for the State at the very outset submits that the informant/complainant has approached the Investigating Agency with the averment that he has resolved his dispute and effected a compromise with the petitioner and his coaccused, therefore, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner would not be of any consequence. Both the parties have also pointed out that the petition for anticipatory bail filed by Jasdeep Singh Chawla, a co-accused of the petitioner, has been accepted by this Court vide order of even date.

In view of the above, the present petition is accepted. In the event of his arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail, subject to his furnishing personal bond in the sum of

-3Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty-five thousand only) with one surety in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer. The petitioner shall join the investigation as and when required to do so and abide by all the conditions laid down under Section 438(2), Cr.PC.
