G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) In the present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioners seek directions to provide protection to the life and liberty from the private respondents No. 5 and 6 who are parents of petitioner No. 1 on account of their marriage which has taken place on 04.06.2018 as per Sikh Religious Rites at Gurudwara Dashmesh Pita, Kharar. The marriage photographs are appended as Annexure P-4 (colly). The petitioners are stated to be major, as the date of birth of petitioner No.1 is 09.02.1994 as per Matriculation Certificate (Annexure P1) and the date of birth of petitioner No. 2 is 01.05.1987 as per Adhaar Card (Annxure P-2). Copy of Aadhar Card of petitioner no. 1 has also been attached as Annexure P-3. It is stated that petitioner no. 2 is a divorced lady.
A representation dated 05.06.2018 (Annexure P-5) has also been filed with respondent No. 2 in this regard. Accordingly, keeping in view the fact that the petitioners have
got married and in view of the binding precedent of the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. and another 2006(2) SCC (Criminal) 478, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent No.2 to look into the above said representation filed by the petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law and provide protection, if so required.
