(ORAL) Case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No. 2 and 3 not to harass the petitioners at the instance of respondents No. 4 to 6 and to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6.

Notice of motion.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Rajiv Vij, APP, U.T., Chandigarh accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are major and they have performed marriage (Nikaah) on 15.5.2020 against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 6.

At this stage, learned State counsel, who is assisted by Head Constable Ravinder, Police Station Mori Gate, Manimajra, has submitted that statement of the owner of house i.e. H. No. 1149, Mori Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh has been recorded wherein he has specifically stated that petitioner GURPREET SINGH 2020.05.20 15:04 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chadigarh No. 2 was residing there about 09 years ago. However, the affidavit of Shahin

CRWP No. 3114 of 2020 -2Parveen and the marriage certificate indicate that the said address. When learned counsel for the petitioner was apprised regarding this fact, he submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the petition with liberty to file a fresh one with better particulars. Prayer is allowed.
