(ORAL) CRM-W-197-2020 This is an application for exemption from affixing the Court fee and welfare fund ticket on the main petition. For the reasons given in the application, the applicantpetitioners are granted exemption from filing the Court fee and welfare fund ticket for the time being with the further direction that the same shall be made good once the pandemic situation is over. The application is disposed of.

CRWP-3115-2020 Case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 10. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No. 1 is a widow and she has been residing at her parental house whereas petitioner No. 2 is unmarried. CRWP No. 3115 of 2020 (O&M) -2submits that both the petitioners have been living together in live-in relationship and facing threat from the family members of petitioner No. 1 and in this regard, they have also moved a representation dated 15.5.2020 (Annexure P-3) to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur-respondent No. 2.

Without commenting upon the marital status or live-in relationship of the petitioners, I dispose of the petition with directions to respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioners, Annexure P-3 and grant them protection, if any threat to their life and liberty is perceived. It is made clear that this order shall not be taken to protect the petitioners from legal action for violation of law if any committed by them.
