Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 to stop the recovery @ 60% per month from the salary of the petitioner till the pendency of the statutory appeal dated 01.03.2024 (Annexure P-3), filed by the petitioner against the order of punishment dated 29.01.2024 (Annexure P-2), passed by respondent No.1, vide which recovery of Rs.4,34,020/- has been imposed upon the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon order dated 29.08.2023 passed by this Court in CWP No.18701 of 2023 and prays for deciding the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner dated 01.03.2024 (Annexure P-3) expeditiously by passing a speaking order in a time bound manner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Accordingly, respondent No.2 - Appellate Authority, Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, is directed to decide the statutory appeal dated 01.03.2024 (Annexure P-3) filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law by passing a speaking order as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and convey the same to the petitioner. Further recovery from the petitioner shall remain stayed and would be subject to the final order that may be passed by the Appellate Authority.

The petition stands disposed of.
