(ORAL) The petitioner had filed the instant petition with a grievance that there was an endorsement made in Annexure P-4 to the effect that an entry be made in the character roll of the petitioner that he may not be posted/transferred to Excise and Taxation Department in future. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-State would place on record a photocopy of the communication received in the Advocate General's office from the office of DGP, Haryana wherein it is submitted that entry made in his character roll in view of the endorsement made in Annexure P-4 has been cancelled.

In view of the aforementioned communication, the counsel for the petitioner does not press the instant petition. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
