Mr. Baljinder Singh, Advocate for respondent No. 3. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Writ Petition bearing CWP No. 5758 of 2016 filed by the petitioner Rattan Lal, who is inhabitant of village Banarsi, Tehsil Moonak, District Sangrur, was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 29.03.2016 directing the authorities to ensure that no further encroachment on the Gram Panchayat land is made on the pretext of expanding the temple activities. Alleging that the temple was being expanded by encroaching upon the land of the Gram Panchayat, present contempt petition has been filed.

A reply by way of affidavit dated 16.12.2020 of Sh. Swinder Singh, BDPO, Andana at Moonak, District Sangrur has been filed on behalf of respondent No. 1 stating that on 03.09.2020, with the consent of both the parties, the encroachment upon the passage has been removed by the Gram Panchayat in the presence of SDM, Moonak, DSP Lehra and Moonak, SHO Khanori, Executive Magistrate/Naib Tehsildar and Moti Lal Ex-President Nagar Panchayat Khanori on behalf of Ravidas Temple Committee besides the petitioner and other respectable of the area thereby rendering the present petition infructuous.

Disposed of as infructuous.
