(ORAL) Petition herein is, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus seeking direction to respondent No.2 to expedite the election petition bearing No.EP-5 of 2022 titled as "Sandeep Singh versus Ram Chander and others" preferred by the petitioner, pending before learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), Bhiwani.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has preferred an Election Petition challenging the election of respondent No.3 herein, who was elected as Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Kharak Khurd, Tehsil and District Bhiwani. He submits that the aforesaid election petition is pending since long before the learned trial Court and seeks to expedite the proceedings thereof. 3.

On the other hand, on advance service of copy of petition, learned State counsel appears and opposes issuance of notice of motion. Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek reply by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/ or pleadings are required.

Considering the aforesaid submissions and relief sought for herein, since the aforesaid election petition is pending since long, learned trial Court is directed to expedite the same and conclude proceedings, at the earliest. 6.

Petition stands disposed of, accordingly.
