Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he is not pressing any other relief claimed in this petition or in representation (Annexure P-1) except that the life and liberty of petitioners be protected by the police from the hands of private respondent No. 5 to 7. In view of submission of learned counsel for the petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) to look into the grievances of the petitioners relating to threat to their lives and liberty and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

It is, however, made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be interpreted as giving any type of liberty or protection to the petitioners in any criminal, civil or other proceedings pending or instituted against them.
