RAJ MOHAN SINGH J. (ORAL) Petitioners have preferred this writ petition for the issuance of a direction in the nature of mandamus, directing respondent No.2-Municipal Committee, Fatehgarh Sahib and other Local Bodies Authorities to construct a boundary wall of water supply tubewell No.2 in Sirhind, District Fatehgarh Sahib.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a tender was given to a firm/contractor of Khanna city after sanctioning of an amount of Rs.1,16,000/- for construction of the aforesaid boundary wall but till date no action has been taken. Even a Legal Notice dated 17.02.2019 (Annexure P-3) was served upon the respondents but the same has not been taken into consideration. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that keeping in view the interest of SARITA RANI 2022.07.18 16:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-8893-2019 - 2 - the persons living in the locality including the petitioners, his Legal Notice dated 17.02.2019 (Annexure P-3) is required to be decided by respondent No.2 in accordance with law at the earliest.

In view of the nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, no counter is required to be filed at this stage. The present writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2 to take note of pending Legal Notice dated 17.02.2019 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioners and decide the same in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
