(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking protection of their life and liberty on the premise that petitioner No.1 has performed marriage with petitioner No.2 against the wishes of her parents and other family members and the petitioners are apprehending threat to their life and liberty at their instance. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that inadvertently, the date of birth of petitioner No.1 namely Suman Rani has been mentioned as 02.05.2014 in the petition whereas her correct date of birth as per Aadhar Card (Annexure P1), is 02.05.1994. Learned counsel for the petitioners, at this stage, has submitted that a representation dated 09.06.2018 was made to the Mohd. CRM-M No.25839 of 2018 Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala (Annexure P7) seeking necessary protection but no action has been taken so far in the matter. Heard.

Without examining the question of validity or otherwise of marriage of the petitioners, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala to look into grievance of the petitioners expressed in the representation (Annexure P7) and take appropriate action, if any, warranted in the circumstances.
